About us
Brooklyn Sound Systems was established on the 5th November 1990 by
Kelvin Brown.
It is a family run business and we are still very committed to achieving
the original goals set out when we first embarked on this adventure.
Kelvin has a career spanning over 30 years in the Television and
Audio industry, and can draw on a wealth of experience and technical
knowledge.
Our vision
To set the standards to supply only the best in quality,
performance and best value in order to hear through the equipment to
the message it was intended to convey.
Our Philosophy
To find quality engineering solutions to our customer's
problems and provide a professional service with ongoing support and
care.
To always respond in a professional manner to any enquiry,
and to give exact details and specifications regarding any suggested
solutions.
We only use quality equipment and accessories, this also
includes plugs, cabling and associated components.
We always adhere to the correct regulations and apply best
practice in all our work.
We are not tied to a specific manufacturer, or type of equipment,
this allows us to advocate the solution that is right for the customer
without conflicts of brand loyalty.
We are associate members of the Professional lighting and Sound Association
and agree to abide by the code of ethics to promote the highest possible
standards of professional conduct.
PLASA is the leading trade association for our industry,
to become a member requires certain standards, these are based around
financial performance, good business relationships with others in
the industry and best practice in all areas.
Every member works to a Professional Code of Ethics and is expected
to demonstrate honesty and integrity in all their business dealings.
Kelvin is a member of the Institute of Sound and Communication
Engineers and holds the grade of Tech Inst. ISCE
The ISCE is a specialist-learned society where candidates
for membership have to prove their eligibility by virtue of reconised
academic qualification and practical experience in the industry.
